Editorial Policy

Our Commitment to Accuracy

Dutasteride.com is committed to providing accurate, evidence-based information about dutasteride and related treatments. Every article on this site undergoes a rigorous editorial process before publication.

Medical Review Process

All clinical content is reviewed by a board-certified medical professional before publication. Our standard is that reviewers hold an active U.S. licence and verifiable credentials. As each reviewer is appointed, their profile, including NPI number and board certification, is published on our Reviewers page. No individual reviewer profile is published there yet.

Source Selection Standards

We use a tiered source system:

  • Tier 1 (Primary): Peer-reviewed clinical trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses from PubMed, NEJM, JAMA, The Lancet, and specialty journals.
  • Tier 2 (Institutional): FDA labels, NIH/NLM resources, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and equivalent institutional sources.
  • Tier 3 (Supporting): Clinical practice guidelines, professional society position statements, and medical textbooks.

We do not cite press releases, social media posts, or non-peer-reviewed preprints as primary evidence.

Update Cadence

  • Monthly: Top 20 highest-traffic pages are reviewed and updated with the latest data.
  • Quarterly: All remaining pages undergo a scheduled review.
  • On-demand: When a significant new study is published, affected pages are updated within 7 days.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Dutasteride.com may earn revenue through telehealth affiliate partnerships. These relationships are disclosed on the relevant pages and on our Affiliate Disclosure page. Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial content, recommendations, or medical review process.
